A few weeks after joining forces for their new collaborative single, Nicki Minaj and Fivio Foreign have released the music video for “We Go Up.”

Nicki Minaj returns to New York City in a pink Lamborghini in the music video. It’s directed by Andre “DreVinci” Jones and splices clips of Minaj driving several luxury cars in the city, while other shots follow her in a pink monochromatic outfit and matching jacket as she spits the lyrics to the track near the South Jamaica projects in Queens, which she references in the song’s lyrics. “Southside Jamaica, we mobbin’ them bricks, so pull up with them blicks,” she raps. “Some of the best shooters out of New York, they don’t play with the Knicks.”

This is Minaj’s third music video release this year, after “Do We Have a Problem?” and “Blick Blick.”

Leading up to the release of the new video, Nicki issued a warning to the competition. “I forgot to tell y’all on Jan 1st that 2022 was the wrong year to play wit me,” she wrote on Twitter. “It’s gon cost ya.”

Athena Costello shared her feelings, saying that “Nicki always brings heat. I love the way she clearly had fun with her flows, and the energy Fivio threw into the song. But I really want Nicki to release more solo music, I get tired of her having other artists on her songs. Like it’s nice she’s releasing, but it would be nice to get more solos.”
