Update: The cause of death was not able to be determined on the remains due to their condition.

Brian Laundrie went missing last month before authorities discovered his fiance, Gabby Petito, strangled to death in the place they were last seen together, Teton County Idaho. The authorities also discovered a notebook and backpack belonging to Laundrie near the remains. This notebook could be salvageable. 

The police and Brian’s parents went searching for Brian in very wet and scary conditions in a reserve, near his parents’ home, where he went after Gabby’s death. The area was completely submerged in water for a time but has since the water has subsided and the area has been reopened to the public. The water was waist high and in the water lurks alligators and snakes. They searched in this area for the last month, and they found his suspected remains after the waterline receded.
