Titan Football Scores First Win!

The Thunder Ridge Titans won their very first game against Bonneville 32-20. The Titans went 0-8 last season, so this win is the one they searched for all last year. 

By the end of the game, Thunder Ridge Sophomore Tao Johnson had was 11-18, with 219 yards and 1 TD. Thunder Ridge Junior Kaysen Isom (MVP for this game) finished with 89 yards rushing, and 4 total TD’s (3 rushing). Thunder Ridge Senior Kayden Toldson had 107 Rec Yards most in the game by either team.

The game opened up with a connection from Johnson to Isom for a 52 yard strike, leaving the score 6-0. Bonneville answered with a Jordan Perez 9 yard touchdown 6-6.

Isom took the lead back for the Titans with a 13 yard run; Jason Rogel made extra point , resulting in 13-6. Bonneville answers right back with a Willie Nelson 5 yard run to tie 13-13.

The Titans took the lead again with Johnson and a 6 yard run. Jason Rogel kicked it for 20-13. From then the Titans took a commanding lead with Isom 1 yard run for 26-13. 

Then they put the game away with Isom making a 13 yard run to make it 32-13. In the end Bonneville scored on a Howell 5 yard rec touchdown 32-20 final.

Thunder Ridge Quarterback Tao Johnson thought the win felt great. “It feels great. It was fun it is a great group of guys..” He thought that making history was good, but it is just another win. Johnson said “It feels great but when it comes down to it is just another win”. 

However, Jose Trejo Jr, corner for Bonneville, thought differently. “We have to give more heart; those losses are there for a reason. We will continue to get better.” Trejo does not like being on the wrong side of history. “It is tough; they are there for a reason. We just have to get better.”

 

Update: Thunder Ridge is (2-3) after traveling to Kuna.
