Thunder went two for two in the doubleheader against Madison on April 25th. The Titans won 11 to 2 in the first game and 10 to 8 in the second. There were lots of big hits on the Titan’s side along with some phenomenal pitching.

In the first game, TRHS had 11 hits. A home run and a grand slam by Ashlynn Lott and Emily Jones were critical hits for the game. In pitching Kalian Scoresby only allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out 10 batters.

Scoresby has been on fire this season and is always looking forward to her next games. “I’m happy that all my hard work in the off-season has paid off, but I also couldn’t be anywhere without my catchers,” said Scoresby. The team’s work had paid off and they went on into the next game on a high of victory.

In the second game, TRHS had 8 hits and 11 strikeouts collectively. Ashlyn Lott had two more homers against the Bobcats. “I’ve really been working on my batting and I’m super happy I’m hitting better,” said Lott. In pitching, Trysta Hoffman started off the game and had 4 strikeouts, and Kalian Scrobesey followed later in the game with 7.

Highlighted plays in both games were diving catches done by Emily Jones in 3rd catching a pop bunt and Nkysa Wright in the left-field catching a shallow pop fly. The Titans owned both games and worked hard with many big hits, strikeouts, and defensive plays.
