Rapper Jack Harlow released his newest single “First Class” and fans are going crazy, with it pulling in a whopping 54.6 million on-demand streams in its first week. It debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, beating Harry Styles’s streak.

Last week, Styles’ “As It Was” came out on top with 43.8 million streams. This week, it fell to a still-solid No. 2, with 32.3 million streams in its second frame .“First Class” received 4.1 million audience impressions on radio during the week of April 18th, less than a fourth of the 27.2 million radio Styles got in his debut the week of April 11th. Harlow’s new song went viral on TikTok, which may be the source of his high numbers because radio has yet to deliver the news about how big a star he is.

Lisa Lauren gave her thoughts, saying, “Honestly I’ve never heard the song. I’m surprised it has so much support, but if it’s catchy then yeah it would trend on TikTok. I’ll give it a listen though, I’m just a bit surprised how big it is.”

Lisa does share the same skepticism as many people on Twitter. A few believed Harlow didn’t receive that many streams, and his label, Atlantic Records, paid for the streams through a service called Payola. Regardless, Jack Harlow received his second number one hit, with the first being his collaboration with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby.”
