After some back and forth over the existence of a possible collaboration, Nicki Minaj and Coi Leray have released their awaited single, Blick Blick. With the existence being leaked by Coi’s father, Nicki revealed on Twitter that she “did pull” the verse but that “the label hit me going hard.” Luckily, she changed her mind.

The song is expected to be on Leray’s debut album, Trendsetter. She even got a tattoo for Nicki a day before the song’s release, with the tattoo featuring the Barbie logo and the release date 3.18.22.

The song features a trap beat and is considered by many new fans to be one of Coi’s best.

Nicki has always shown Coi love. Last year, many people had mixed feelings about Leray. They compared her sound to another rapper, Playboi Carti. When Coi was booed at a Houston show in 2021, Nicki came to Twitter to state, “Don’t do that. Chin up. Always remember this, when ppl not w|you #TheyWillBoo. Those ppl were on their feet. That means they may not have known the song, but they were interested in getting to know more— so they were observing u. Charge it to the game & move on.”

Marissa Hutchinson gave her thoughts on the song, stating that “the song is really cool, I love the beat and Nicki’s lyricism. Nicki delivered, and I love that for her. I want to hear more of this sound from Coi.”
