Idaho Proposes Bill to Ban Mask Mandates

Jayden Barfuss, Staff Writer

Idaho lawmakers have proposed a bill that would eliminate school and school districts from being able to mandate masks in schools. This Bill would give the freedom back to the students to make their choice on wearing a mask or not.

This bill passed in the house of representatives with a vote of 46-24 in favor of this bill. This is a positive thing in our society as our society is trying to get things back to normal and is trusting the parents and the students to make the right choice on their health.

This bill could also backfire as kids could lie about their health and the school cannot do anything about it. Health for the whole school could be a risk for the school.

This, either way, is a very controversial topic no matter how you look at it, and this battle will be fought inside our country for a while because many people have different beliefs on it.

Some people believe this is a step forward for others they think that this is a step in the wrong direction and that we need more protection. The mask mandate will make the students have more life.
