Hope For Seth Fundraiser

The Hope for Seth Fundraiser was a pay to play 3 on 3 basketball tournament to raise money for 3-year-old Seth Sautter, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. The money raised from the tournament, along with many generous donations, was given to the Sautter family to help pay for Seth’s hospital bills. The TRHS girls basketball team helped put on the fundraiser and helped ref, cheer, and gather donations. But with the majority of the planning came from Chelsi Boyle, and the Hope for Seth fundraiser was a success.

Abby Benson, a sophomore at TRHS was able to help with the Hope for Seth Fundraiser. Abby helped ref the 3 on 3 and 3 point contest games and gathered donations. She has also been spreading Hope for Seth on her Instagram story. Benson was asked about her personal experiences, and believes, “ My experience at the fundraising was once in a lifetime! It feels so nice to be able to participate and help my cousin and his family.”

The TRHS family is proud to offer help to those in need. Funds that have been raised from the event were around $5,000. The Sautter family has also set up a GoFundMe where you can donate to help pay for Seth’s treatment, which has raised almost $17,000. There will also be another fundraiser on February 2nd at another home basketball game where fans will be able to wear T-shirts and donate money to support.
