The Newest Five Nights At Freddy’s Game Release
February 4, 2022
For the past 7 years, the popular indie game Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNaF) has accumulated a large fan base. There are 17 video games and a total of 31 books within the franchise, yet the fans always hunger for more. On December 16, 2021, they finally got the long-awaited game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. This is the 17th game in the survival horror game’s series, being the most interactive and changing from its usual sit-and-stay game mechanic.
The game follows Gregory, a young boy who snuck into the Pizzaplex and found his way into Freddy’s stomach hatch. Now he’s finding his way out of the Pizzaplex with the help of Freddy while avoiding the security guard and other animatronics who are looking to find him. The game has multiple different endings and lots to explore within the map. With this new game being so big, many are regaining interest in the series and showing their love for the series.
Kasen Pearce gave his thoughts saying, “I’ve known about the franchise before Security Breach, and I don’t think this is the end of the series. I’ve seen gameplay, and it looks really well done, not rushed at all.” Many fans differ on the quality of the game, however, saying it’s easy to ‘break’ and feels unfinished.
Ben Lords also chimed in stating, “I’ve also been a fan before Security Breach, and the game looks really fun from what I’ve seen. It’s like a story game, and I’d like to try it eventually. I don’t think this will end the series either, the lore is deep and could continue for a while.” Many fans are hoping this isn’t the end, but after the original creator Scott Cawthan resigned from the series, many don’t know what will happen next.
