What is the US Congress Doing?

President Joe Biden’s infrastructure investment plan is currently awaiting for the House Democrats to give him a yes or a no about his ideas. The infrastructure bill will deliver $550 billion in new federal investments for all of America, which would touch bridges, roads, and the nation’s broadband. Water and energy systems will also be improved.

Political experts say we sorely need these new roads and bridges for safer travel, and smoother travel for produce and packages to get to their destinations safely.

Jeneta Williams agreed, saying that we need the infrastructure bill because our roads, bridges, etc. and that we have not had our roads fixed in many decades, and if we don’t get them fixed soon the roads could get way worse.

Many House progressives signaled that they will back both bills. A hopeful sign to look at is the week’s long gridlock between progressive and democratic factions may end soon.

But another date we should look out for is December 3rd because that’s when newly extended transportation funding was put in place to buy time for the infrastructure bill. That’s also when the US is expected to hit the debate ceiling. President Biden wants to raise taxes on the wealthy, extend health care, and invest trillions on green energy infrastructure.

Williams also said that the economic plan is very important and we need to have it.
