What Does The Eternals Movie Mean For the MCU?

Abby Christensen, Staff Writer

The newest addition to phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to be released November 4th and with an entirely new set of characters and plot. But what does this mean for the MCU going forward? With so many new characters and such a big storyline, this movie is sure to bring a lot to the table in terms of the MCU.

The Eternals are a group of 10 superheroes with powers not yet seen in the MCU. These powerful beings are called Eternals because of the fact that they do not age. The group was created by a mysterious being called the Celestials and sent on a mission to Earth. The Eternals never questioned their purpose until recent times, and they all wonder what their purpose truly is.

This movie is set to be a journey for the Eternals to navigate this new world after the Blip and also discover who they are as individuals and as a group. They of course will also be facing some serious enemies. This group of heroes is also set to be among the strongest characters in the MCU so far.

Thunder Ridge Senior and Marvel fan Hannah Jackson said, “I’m excited to see how the movies te in with the other latest Marvel movies… I think the MCU will only continue to grow and stuff because of the loss of characters from endgame, it will be good.” Overall only time will tell what Marvel has in store for both this movie and the future of the MCU.
