The movie Ron’s Gone Wrong was released in theaters on Oct. 22. This movie is about the journey of true friendship between Barney and his robot best friend, Ron.

When the Bubble company comes out with the Bubble Bot, or the “B-Bot”, it becomes very popular amongst kids. Barney wants to fit in and get one for himself. When Barney receives his B-Bot, it starts malfunctioning. The inventor of the B-Bot, Marc, and the CEO of Bubble, Andrew, start trouble and want to get Ron back and possibly destroy it.

When asked if she would consider watching Ron’s Gone Wrong, ShyAnna Torres, a seventh-grader at Black Canyon Middle School, stated “Definitely, I think it’s a cute wholesome movie, with an interesting plot… I’ve seen trailers all over the place!” 

Ron’s Gone Wrong was released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures through their 20th Century Studios subsidiary. The song  “Sunshine” by Liam Payne is for Ron’s Gone Wrong,  Payne is known as being from the very popular boy band One Direction. Voice actor Jack Dylan Grazer is voicing Barney. Grazer also voiced Alberto Scorfano in the recent Pixar movie Luca. 

Overall, Ron’s Gone Wrong is definitely a fun movie for the whole family to watch! Torres says that she thinks the best part of having a robot best friend would be “having it go to the store with me”. What do you think the best part of having a robot best friend would be?
