Halloween: What Can We Do?

Caeleb Caudill, Staff Writer

With Halloween right around the corner, many people are wondering what to do because of Covid-19. There are many fun things people are doing, like fun decorations, and fun parties people are throwing.

One fun DIY decorations you can do are, making a Halloween pumpkin chain out of orange construction paper,

CDC.gov says some fun ideas for Halloween are: visiting a corn maze, orchard, forest, and attending a scavenger hunt. Some other ideas are “Hide Halloween treats in and around your house. Hold a Halloween treat hunt with household members.”

You could even hold an outdoor costume parade or contest so everyone can show off their costumes. Hosting an outdoor Halloween movie night with friends, or neighbors, or an indoor movie night with your household members are some other suggestions given by the CDC.

Miklo Silvas, a Freshman at Thunder Ridge says “My family is going to have an 80’s party; we are handing out candy ourselves. Our decorations are just normal Halloween decorations bought from the store. We will be carving pumpkins from Walmart.”

Lexie Ramirez, another Freshman at Thunder Ridge says “My family is celebrating my little cousin’s birthday. My family decorates my house like the Nightmare before Christmas. I will be carving pumpkins this Halloween with my family, and I would recommend U Pick Red Barn for pumpkins, It’s really good for the little kids to have fun. One decoration to do is if you get an old shutter and paint it black and get spider webs and spiders, then it would look really creepy. ”

Have a fun, safe Halloween out there people.
